DoubleCloud is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our dedicated team, supporting our clients with top-tier technical assistance and problem-solving expertise. As a TSE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our products and services for clients across various industries. You should be driven by a passion for unraveling complex technical issues and providing exceptional customer service. Join us in revolutionizing the way our clients harness technology to achieve their goals!

About DoubleCloud And Our Mission:

DoubleCloud are the creators of the first-ever managed ClickHouse service. We’re proud that our engineers are, and have always been, significant contributors to leading open-source technologies such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Odyssey, WAL-G, and many, many others.

As a result, we’ve created a cutting-edge data platform that offers businesses fully managed open-source solutions such as Clickhouse, Kafka, etc., so data engineers can focus on what they love - building awesome solutions, instead of having to waste time on repetitive tasks related to scaling demand up or down, installing updates, deploying additional software and all the other boring but necessary admin that comes with data technologies.

This role can be performed on-site (in Belgrade), hybrid or remote.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Technical troubleshooting: You will understand, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical support problems efficiently.
  • Knowledge content creation: You'll create high-quality, reusable knowledge content for future support engineers and customers.
  • Commitment to service excellence: Strive to deliver exceptional service to customers.
  • Flexibility for on-call work: Availability for night/weekend/holiday 'on-call' work to address critical customer issues promptly.

What we expect from you:

  • You have prior hands-on experience with open-source databases such as ClickHouse, MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL. Kafka, Airflow, and Terraform are bonuses.
  • You have prior hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, including RDS, Virtual Private Clouds, and configuring Security Groups and Routes. GCP is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with typical tools such as Slack, Confluence, Jira, HubSpot, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Minor software development skills, e.g. Python or Go for connecting to databases.
  • Experience with analytics and data visualization software.

Communication and Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Passion for continuous learning: Eagerness to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Remote work enthusiast: Enjoyment of the flexibility and autonomy of remote work environments.
  • Self-directed and autonomous work: Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy.

We help and inspire each other, try new things, and learn new lessons. We’re here for each other, and we ensure each individual has everything they need to reach their goals.
