About DoubleCloud and our product
DoubleCloud, the creators of the first managed ClickHouse service, offer an open-source data management platform with a single point of access to the services that help build modern data applications. Backups, monitoring, shard configurations, replicas, and updates are all expertly managed by us, allowing our clients to concentrate on their projects rather than routine tasks.
Since 2021, we’ve worked with more than 100 companies crunching analytics with various data tools, including Clickhouse, BigQuery, Redshift, MySQL, Postgres, and Kafka.
As a result, we created a data platform to specifically help businesses build an end-to-end modern data stack and real-time analytics with fully managed open-source technologies, like Clickhouse, Kafka, etc.
With our platform, data engineers can focus on what they love building instead of spending time on tasks related to scaling up or down, installing updates, deploying additional software, and other required admin around open source technologies.
DoubleCloud is an early-stage startup with over 45 people as of today, and we want you to be a part of our team!
What you will do:
- You will help us build the DoubleCloud business in Europe, which is crucial for our success.
- Be the second hand of the product team and help to form future product and services. You will be the main bridge between customers and the development team guiding them to build the right features and forming a roadmap of the product.
- Work directly with customers and recommend solutions based on requirements around open-source data technology stacks.
- Deliver on-site and remote technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes participating and driving PoCs, presales, and understanding customer requirements.
- Become a developer advocate - present at the events and keep relations with the developer community to help evangelize DoubleCloud in your territory. Build and write solutions, and best practice blogs/whitepapers together with customers and product team.
What we expect from you:
- 4+ years of experience in IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role (data engineer, data architect).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working with data technology stack, preferably open-source like Kafka, ClickHouse, data warehouse, and ETL product and services.
- 1+ years experience in cloud services like AWS, GCP, Azure, or data PaaS.
- Fluent in English, ability to talk to customers at any decision-making level.
What would be nice to have:
- Experience working with OLAP and OLTP databases, as well as with PostgreSQL, Redshift, BigQuery etc.
- Deep understanding of cloud technology and modern data stack.
- Experience in a high-growth product-driven company.
- Experience in working with startups and mid-sized companies.
